Akro Agate Apple Green Opaque Powder Jar

The Akro Agate No. 806 apple-shaped powder containers were made for Lander Distributors of New York. Notice this container is vastly different than the standard Akro Apple powder. There are very pronounced thumbprint style indents around the base. Also the next photo illustrates a tab on the lid and a corresponding notch in the rim of the base. These features are lacking in the actual production examples of this jar. A comparision with the photo of the custard apple will illustrate the difference. It has been concluded that this style apple was a pre production style.
