Akro Agate Apple Powder Jar
AkroappleThe Akro Agate No. 806 apple-shaped powder containers were made for Lander Distributors of New York. These containers have a 3.5" diameter and are 3.5" tall. Opaque apples are usually found in pumpkin or creamy white colors, although some marbleized examples have surfaced. Transparent apples have only been found in crystal. These are common and are the least desirable. Later, crystal apples with a notch for a spoon for use as marmalade jars were made by the Clarksburg Glass Company.
