"Parrots" Powder Jar

This crystal satin powder jar has two large parrots embossed on a slightly domed lid. The bottom of this jar is not embossed. Currently, this powder jar is being reproduced and sold by A & A Imports in transparent pink, cobalt, ruby and crystal. Other new colors may appear at any time. The only known original color is crystal. Many times the crystal jar was satinized in an acid bath and the birds were enameled. Some satin jars will also be found decorated with gold trim. Crystal jars were also decorated with colored flashed-on and baked-on enamel finishes.
