Czech "Greek Warriors" Trinket Box
|
This blue satin powder jar looks similar to Lalique or French style glass. The jar has soldiers, or gods riding galloping or prancing horses. The lid has a scalloped ribbed pattern and the knob on the top of the jar has a Greek Key design. The bottom edge is ground. The jar is 4Ó tall and 4Ó in diameter. An original label found on this jar confirming it was made in the Bohemian area of Czechoslovakia in the late 1940Õs. The label on the box reads "Bohemian Glass Made in Czechoslovakia." Colors we have seen are blue satin and crystal satin, but other colors may exist.
