"Babs I"
|
This powder jar with the finial head and shoulders of a lady with short bobbed hair is called "Babs I." This is a round jar, 4.5" in diameter, with a three-footed bottom, that has been found in green satin and pink satin. This same finial is also found on a different style powder jar--"Babs II"--shown later. Since the base is the same as the one used for "Butch II," and "Babs II" has been documented as a L. E. Smith product, it is probable this jar was made by Smith.
