Enesco Collectibles
Mother in the Kitch en (Prayer Lady) In the 1950s Mother-in-the-Kitchen , commonly called Prayer Lady was marketed by importing companies. In the early 1960s these items became a part of the Enesco line. This lovely collectible is the most popular early line sold by Enesco. Mother-in-the-Kitchen is most often found with a pink dress, but this adorable lady may also be found dressed in blue. White dresses with blue trim are much harder to obtain and usually command a higher price.

Harder to find items such as the brush and comb set, candlestick , picture frame and cookie jar are priced higher then the commonly found salt and pepper shakers, toothpick holder, and spoon holder.

The variety of pieces makes this pattern line fun to collect. A canister set, string holder, condiment jars, wall plaque, soap dish, napkin holder, spoon rest, sugar and creamer, string holder, and even an air freshener are among the many items available in this pattern. If you decide to collect this pretty pattern for your kitchen it will take a while to obtain all the items available but it will certainly add a touch of nostalgia and class to your kitchen area.
