ADS AND REPRINTS
adThese three figural powder jars were advertised in a 1932 Montgomery Ward catalog. The jars were sold filled with Ramses body powder. From left to right these jars are called "Roxana," "Vamp" and "Pandora." The underside of the bases of these jars is marked: RAMSES--PARIS--NEW YORK. We think the description of "Vamp" as "jade satin" is actually meant to be a dark green satin color rather than an apple green satin color. This jar has not been found in an opaque green jadite color.
